Procedure: N-Hydroxy-butyramidine (0.425 g, 4.16 mmol) in DMF (2 ml) is added to a stirred suspension of sodium hydride (0.183 g of a 60% dispersion in oil, 4.58 mmol) in the presence of molecular sieves (0.4 g). The reaction flask is then immersed in a pre-heated oil bath at 50° C. and stirring continued for 5 min. 3-tert-Butoxycarbonylamino-propionic acid ethyl ester (0.904 g, 4.16 mmol) in DMF (2 ml) is added over 5 min followed by more DMF (2 ml). After 3 h at 50° C. the mixture is cooled to 0° C. and water (3 ml) is added. The mixture is allowed to warm to room temperature then filtered through Celite™ filter material, washing with ethyl acetate, and the solvent is removed. Purification by chromatography, eluting with DCM:MeOH (95:5 increasing to 85:15) affords the titled compound. Procedure: To a solution of ethyl 3-aminopropionate hydrochloride (19 g) in THF (600 mL) was added triethylamine (44 mL), dimethylaminopyridine (1.5 g) and di-tert-butyldicarbonate (30 g) at 0° C. and the mixture was stirred at 40° C. for four hours. The mixture was extracted with ethyl acetate and the solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure to give ethyl N-Boc-3-aminopropionate (16.7 g) as a colorless oil. To a solution of ethyl N-Boc-3-aminopropionate (5.0 g) in THF (50 mL) was added t-BuOK (2.8 g) and methyl iodide (4.9 g) at 0° C. and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for an hour. The mixture was extracted with ethyl acetate and the solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure to give ethyl 3-(N-Boc-N-methylamino)propionate (4.3 g) as a colorless oil. Subsequently, the title compound was prepared from ethyl 3-(N-Boc-N-methylamino)propionate, 2,1,3-benzoxadiazole-4-aldehyde and 3-aminopyrazole in the same manner as in Example 1001. The mixture was extracted with ethyl acetate the solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure

Procedure: 3.10 g (30.96 mmol) N-hydroxy-cyclopropanecarboxamidine are placed in 10 ml dimethylformamide and molecular sieve. 1.32 g (34.06 mmol) sodium hydride (60% in mineral oil) are added. The mixture is stirred for 0.1 hours at 50° C., then 7.40 g (34.06 mmol) ethyl 3-tert-butoxycarbonylamino-propionate in 20 ml dimethylformamide are added. The reaction mixture is stirred for 3 hours at 50° C. After cooling 15 ml of water are added, the mixture is suction filtered through Celite. The 2 phases of the filtrate are separated, the aqueous phase is extracted with ethyl acetate, the combined organic phase is evaporated down. The residue is purified by chromatography. Procedure: To a solution of LiHMDS (1M, 17 mL, 2.2 eq.), cooled to −78° C., was added dropwise a solution of 3-tert-butoxycarbonylamino-propionic acid ethyl ester (1.70 g, 7.82 mmol, prepared according to Tetrahedron Lett. (2003), 44, 2807-2811) in THF (20 mL). The solution was stirred at the same temperature for 90 min. A solution of 8-bromomethyl-7-fluoro-2-methoxy-[1,5]naphthyridine (2.12 g, 1 eq., prepared according to WO 2008/078305) in THF (10 mL) was quickly added and the reaction proceeded 2 h, keeping the internal temperature below −50° C. Water (100 mL) and EA (200 mL) were added. The two layers were decanted and the aq. layer was extracted with EA. The combined org. layers were washed with brine, dried over Na2SO4, filtered and concentrated to dryness. The residue was chromatographed (Hept-EA 2-1) to afford the title intermediate as a yellow oil (2.38 g, 75% yield). the reaction proceeded 2 h the internal temperature below −50° C The two layers were decanted the aq. layer was extracted with EA layers were washed with brine dried over Na2SO4 filtered concentrated to dryness The residue was chromatographed (Hept-EA 2-1)
