Procedure: {1-[2-(5-{6-[4-(2-{1-P-Methoxycarbonylamino-2-(2-methoxy-phenyl)-acetyl]-pyrrolidin-2-yl}-3H-imidazol-4-yl)-phenyl]-naphthalen-2-yl}-1H-imidazol-2-yl)-pyrrolidine-1-carbonyl]-2-methyl-propyl}-carbamic acid methyl ester. To a solution of {2-Methyl-1-[2-(5-{6-[4-(2-pyrrolidin-2-yl-3H-imidazol-4-yl)-phenyl]-naphthalen-2-yl}-1H-imidazol-2-yl)-pyrrolidine-1-carbonyl]-propyl}-carbamic acid methyl ester (0.04 g, 0.05 mmol) and (S)-Methoxycarbonylamino-(2-methoxy-phenyl)-acetic acid (0.02 g, 0.08 mmol, 1.5 equiv.) in CH2Cl2 (0.5 mL) was added K3PO4 (0.03 g, 0.15 mmol, 3 equiv.). The slurry was cooled to 0° C. and COMU (0.03 g, 0.06 mmol, 1.25 equiv.) and the reaction was stirred at 0° C. for 1 hour. The slurry was diluted with CH2Cl2 and filtered. The filtrate was concentrated and the crude product was purified by preparative HPLC (Gemini, 15→40% MeCN in H2O (0.1% formic acid)) and lyophilized to provide {1-[2-(5-{6-[4-(2-{1-[2-Methoxycarbonylamino-2-(2-methoxy-phenyl)-acetyl]-pyrrolidin-2-yl}-3H-imidazol-4-yl)-phenyl]-naphthalen-2-yl}-1H-imidazol-2-yl)-pyrrolidine-1-carbonyl]-2-methyl-propyl}-carbamic acid methyl ester (0.02 g, 50%) as a white powder. Procedure: Into a 300 ml reaction vessel equipped with a distillation apparatus, 50 g of 2-ethylhexylamine, 29 g of methyl carbamate and 100 ml of toluene were placed, and to the mixture was added 0.1 g of dibutyl tin oxide as a catalyst and heated with stirring. Methanol formed during the reaction was removed, when the reflux temperature was raised to 110° C., i.e.,the boiling point of toluene, the distillation apparatus was taken off and instead a reflux condenser was attached and the mixture was refluxed by heating for 30 minutes with stirring, then allowed to cool. The toluene was distilled off under reduced pressure, and the residue was washed with n-hexane and collected by filtration to obtain 61 g of N-(2-ethylhexyl)urea. Into a 300 ml reaction vessel heated was removed the mixture was refluxed by heating for 30 minutes with stirring to cool The toluene was distilled off under reduced pressure the residue was washed with n-hexane collected by filtration
