Procedure: A mixture of 10.6 parts of ethyl 4-isothiocyanato-1-piperidinecarboxylate, 11.6 parts of 4-chloro-N1 -(phenylmethyl)-1,2-benzenediamine and 90 parts of tetrahydrofuran is stirred overnight at room temperature. The reaction mixture is evaporated, yielding 21 parts (100%) of ethyl 4-[{[{5-chloro-2-[(phenylmethyl)amino]phenyl}amino]thioxomethyl}amino]-1-piperidinecarboxylate; mp. 162° C.
