Procedure: To a solution of (5-bromo-benzofuran-2-yl)-methanol (1.6 g, 3.7 mmol) and 4-tert-butylstannanyl-pyridazine (1 g; 4.4 mmol) in 15 mL dry toluene, was added tetrakis(triphenylphosphine)palladium (0) (130 mg). The mixture was stirred at 95° C. overnight. After allowing the mixture to come to room temperature, the solution was poured into water, extracted, dried over MgSO4, and filtrated to afford 2.4 g of crude product that was further purified by chromatography to afford (5-pyridazin-4-yl-benzofuran-2-yl)-methanol. to come to room temperature extracted dried over MgSO4 filtrated to afford 2.4 g of crude product that was further purified by chromatography

Procedure: To a solution of (5-bromo-benzofuran-2-yl)-methanol (1 g, 4.4 mmol) and 2-tributylstannylpyrazine (1.6 g, 3.7 mmol) in 15 mL toluene at room temperature under argon, was added tetrakis(triphenylphosphine)palladium (0) (130 mg), and the mixture was heated at 95° C. overnight. The precipitate was allowed to cooled, extracted with ethyl acetate, washed with brine and dried over MgSO4. Filtration afforded 2.1 g of crude product that was further purified by chromatography to afford (5-pyrazin-2-yl-benzofuran-2-yl)-methanol. to cooled extracted with ethyl acetate washed with brine dried over MgSO4 Filtration afforded 2.1 g of crude product that was further purified by chromatography

Procedure: To a solution of ethyl 5-bromo-benzofuran-2-carboxylate (5 g; 18.6 mmol) in 65 mL THF under nitrogen, was added DIBAL (46 mL, 46 mmol) dropwise over 30 minutes, then stirred overnight at room temperature. After dropwise addition of 25 mL of water, the mixture was evaporated, extracted with ethyl acetate, filtered, washed, dried (MgSO4) and evaporated to yield 4.2 g of crude product which was further purified by chromatography to afford (5-bromo-benzofuran-2-yl)-methanol. the mixture was evaporated extracted with ethyl acetate filtered washed dried (MgSO4) evaporated to yield 4.2 g of crude product which was further purified by chromatography
