Procedure: N-dodecylaminobenzene was prepared from the N-dodecanoylaminobenzene of (a) by reduction with diborane by a procedure similar to that of Example 1(b). A yield of 74% of white crystals from hexane, m.p. 26.7°-27.2° C. was obtained.

After crystallization from hexane, a yield of 84% of white crystalline plates m.p. 76.3°-76.8° C. was obtained.
