Procedure: 2-(Isopropylamino)ethanol (24,0 g) solution in dimethylformamide (70 ml) was added with potassium tert-butoxide (21.9 g) in an ice bathing. After being stirred for 1 hour at room temperature, the reaction mixture was cooled down to 5° C. and added drop-wise with 2′-fluoro-5′-nitromethanesulfonanilide (21.8 g) in dimethylformamide (30 ml). After being stirred for 3 hours at room temperature, the reaction mixture was added into ethyl acetate (500 ml) and solids formed were collected by filtration and washed with ethyl acetate (100 ml). Solids obtained were dissolved into water (200 ml) and the solution was adjusted to pH=7 with 2N HCl . Resultant crystals were collected by filtration, washed with water, and dried under vacuum to obtain 2′-[2-(isopropylamino)ethoxy]-5′-nitromethanesulfonanilide (26.1 g) as white crystal. the reaction mixture was cooled down to 5° C. After being stirred for 3 hours at room temperature formed were collected by filtration washed with ethyl acetate (100 ml) Solids obtained Resultant crystals were collected by filtration washed with water dried under vacuum

Procedure: 2-Chlorobenzoxazole (23.04 g) was added dropwise to an ice-cooled solution of 2-(isopropylamino)ethanol (15.45 g) and triethylamine (30.3 g) in tetrahydrofuran (500 ml). The mixture was stirred at room temperature for 30 minutes, then heated at reflux overnight before being cooled and evaporated. The residue was dissolved in dichloromethane (800 ml) and washed with saturated sodium bicarbonate solution (500 ml), water (3×1 l) brine (1 l), dried (MgSO4), filtered and evaporated. The title compound was obtained as an oil following chromatography on silica gel using 1.5% methanol-dichloromethane as solvent. heated at reflux overnight before being cooled evaporated The residue was dissolved in dichloromethane (800 ml) washed with saturated sodium bicarbonate solution (500 ml), water (3×1 l) brine (1 l) dried (MgSO4) filtered evaporated

Procedure: In a 50-ml three-necked flask, 1.01 g (10 mmol) of sulfuric acid (97%) was diluted with 1 g of water, and the resulting dilution was ice-cooled. A mixture of 1.03 g (10 mmol) of 2-isopropylaminoethanol and 1 g of water was slowly dropped into the cooled dilution. After completion of the dropping, the resulting mixture was warmed to room temperature and 10 ml of toluene was added thereto. The mixture thus obtained was dehydrated by heating with vigorous stirring after attaching a Dean-Stark trap to the flask. The mixture was heated and stirred for 4 hours until a theoretical amount of water was removed. Then, the reaction was continued for another 1 hour. After a large portion of the toluene was removed by decantation, the residual toluene was distilled off under reduced pressure to obtain a crude product of 2-isopropylaminoethyl hydrogensulfate, the desired compound, quantitatively. cooled was slowly dropped into the cooled dilution The mixture thus obtained by heating The mixture was heated was removed After a large portion of the toluene was removed by decantation the residual toluene was distilled off under reduced pressure
