Procedure: 3,4-Dimethoxybenzene sulfonyl chloride, prepared from veratrole and chlorosulfonic acid was reacted with N,N,N'-triisopropyl ethylene diamine following the procedure of Example 1. The reaction was worked up and the crude product chromatographed on alumina with ethyl acetate. Procedure: 3,4-Dimethoxybenzene sulfonyl chloride, prepared from veratrole and chlorosulfonic acid was reacted with N,N,N'-triisopropyl ethylene diamine following the procedure of Example 1. Procedure: In a similar manner, use of equivalent quantities of N,N,N'-triisopropylethylenediamine and 6,7-dimethoxy-1-phenyl-3,4-dihydro-2(1H)-isoquinolinecarbonyl chloride in place of the dialkylaminoalkylamine and isoquinolinecarbonyl chloride employed above affords N-(2-diisopropylaminoethyl)-6,7-dimethoxy-N-isopropyl-1-phenyl-3,4-dihydro-2(1H)-isoquinolinecarboxamide.
