Procedure: 2 mL of 4 N HCl in 1,4-dioxane was added to a solution of tert-butyl(cis-2-methoxycyclohexyl)carbamate (0.17 g, 0.74 mmol) in methanol (0.5 mL). The reaction mixture was stirred at r.t. overnight. The volatiles were removed under reduced pressure to afford the desired product as HCl salt. Analytic LCMS (M+H)+: m/z=130.1.
