Procedure: A suspension of 3-methoxy-N,N-dimethyl-4-nitroaniline (Bionet) (0.5 g, 2.6 mmol) and Pd/C (Aldrich, 10%, 0.1 g) in ethyl acetate (10 mL) was vigorously shaken in a Parr under atmosphere of H2 (50 psi) for 0.5 h. The mixture was filtered through a short pad of celite. The filtrate was concentrated to give 2-methoxy-N,N-dimethyl-benzene-1,4-diamine as a dark brown oil (0.4 g, 94%). The mixture was filtered through a short pad of celite The filtrate was concentrated

Procedure: 4-Dimethylamino-3-methoxyaniline (1.66 g, 10 mmol) is added to a solution of 4-azido-2,3,5,6-tetrafluorophenylsulfonyl chloride (3.47 g, 12 mmol) in MeOH (20 ml) at ambient temperature. After stirng at room temperature for 15 min, the reaction mixture is concentrated under reduced pressure and the residue is taken up in ethyl acetate and filtered through a pad of silica gel. Concentration of the filtrate, followed by chromatography, provides the title compound. the reaction mixture is concentrated under reduced pressure filtered through a pad of silica gel
