Procedure: A slurry of 1-(2-amino-3-nitro-phenyl)-ethanone (0.2 g, 1.11 mmol) and 10% palladium on carbon (0.020 g) in methanol (10 mL) was hydrogenated with a hydrogen balloon for 2 h. After completion of the reaction, the reaction mixture was filtered and evaporated under vacuum to obtain the title compound as off white solid (0.120 g, 72.28%) After completion of the reaction the reaction mixture was filtered evaporated under vacuum
